Description

A Japanese three-part lacquered cabinet from the Meiji period.

  • Multiple shelves and drawers are decorated with hiramaki-e and tatamaki-e, inlaid silver and mother of pearl.
  • Richly detailed with gilt handles and scenes of geisha with musical instruments, celestial figures, carriages, cranes, dragons and extensive foliate motifs.
