American neoclassical sterling silver bowl and cover

  • Made by Edward C. Moore for Tiffany & Co. at 550 Broadway in New York, ca 1860.
  • Bellied on stepped and spread foot.
  • Cover raised with tapering side and finial.
  • Detailed with beading.
  • Handwork visible on interior.
  • Early maker’s and retailer’s stamps with phrase “Gold & Silversmiths” and order number 2664.
