Condition
Overall in good condition. The chairs surfaces display a bright orange red and highly reflective lacquer. The surfaces with surface scratches, abrasions, minor traces of wear, and some scattered traces of white house paint consistent with age and use. The lacquer with crazing to the seats and backs consistent with the aging of the material. One of the chairs with a more visible crack to the lacquer of the seat, stable and measuring approximately 8 1/2 inches in length. Another chair with a more minor cracks to both sides of the seat at the joints of the armrest. A fourth chair with a small area on the proper left armrest where the lacquer has been touched up measuring approximately one inch. A third chair with minor losses and wear to the two front upper corners of the seat edge which have also been touched up and are only visible on close inspection. The metal surfaces with minor surface scratches and oxidation consistent with age and gentle use. A highly visual design with great presence when viewed first hand.
