Overall in excellent original condition. When viewed in person, the vase presents with a nuanced white glaze with gilt highlights. The vase has been examined under black light and shows no evidence of prior restoration. The glaze with a few minute irregularities inherent in the making and not at all visually distracting. The surfaces with a few shallow scratches and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle handling. A unique work with a highly dynamic decoration and delicate shape, the decorative pattern is iconic of a new post war imagery.
