Overall in excellent original condition. When viewed in person, the color of the vase is of a very delicate luminous lilac, slightly lighter than in the catalogue illustration, with gilt highlights. The vase has been examined under black light and shows no evidence of prior restoration. The glaze with a few minute irregularities inherent in the making and not at all visually distracting. The surfaces with a few shallow scratches and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle handling. A unique work, with intricate decoration, that epitomizes Sèvres post war creations.
