of generous proportions, the naturally formed network with freely twisting and intertwining jagged edges punctuated by perforations, the surface well patinated to a rich reddish-brown colour, the Suzhou-type wood stand inscribed with a four-character inscription reading Niliu zhai cang (Collection of Niliu Studio)

Condition
General good condition with expected chips, including a restuck section of approx. 12 cm. Both the sculpture and the old stand have some typical age cracks with occasional retouching.
