Description

  • 26 cm, 10 1/4  in.
with broad shoulders and bulging body tapering towards the base, the sides carved with a writhing dragon among stylised cloud above a wave band

Condition

There is general minor overpainting to the body, possibly to conceal body hairlines (longest approx 10cm), five of which are extended across the foot. There is also a C-shaped hairline to the interior base. The rim has two 2cm hairlines, one with an associated chip, and one measuring approx. approx. 14 cm with associated areas of cover-up. The exterior of the rim with some shallow flakes retouched, largest measuring approx. 2 cm.
