Catalogue Note

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team Chronograph was released in 2007. The entire series was limited to 2007 pieces whereas only 600 were made in this configuration with an 18ct pink gold case and forged carbon bezel. This watch noticeably bears the Alinghi symbol at 3 o'clock and depicts the sailing boat on the case-back. Audemars Piguet was the sponsor of the Swiss sailing team Alinghi and to celebrate the anniversary of their victory at the 31st America’s Cup in 2003, Audemars Piguet released this Regatta-timer with flyback function. This movement was designed with timing sailing competitions in mind and the in-house forged carbon bezel increases the shock resistance of the watch.
