Catalogue Note
For comparable screens, see T. Castello Yturbide et M. Martinez del Rio de Redo, Biombos Mexicanos, Mexico, 1970. These Mexican screens were probably painted by Chinese artists coming from Spanish colonies. They were inspired by Western engravings and their still lifes show objetcs from Manilla, Acapulco and Mexico.
