Description

Dom PĂ©rignon 1998 In 2018 and on my birthday, this remains a perfect DP, heady yet balanced, intense and filigree at the same time. So youthful and pale still, with persistent, strong mousse and mouth-filling flavour. Very fresh and yet with depth - in fact, yin and yang, ideally complementary. Pure delight in every way. Later in the year, a marvellous, nutty, hawthorn nose of immense freshness. Divine finesse on the palate, with a vanillin 'sweetness' that is so caressing and gentle. A glorious lemony finish that hovers for minutes and a cinnamon and flowers sign off, totally belying its age.
