Catalogue Note

Las Bocas white-slipped vessels are some of the most harmonious and graceful ceramics of Mesoamerica. Exceptionally thin-walled, some vessels were decorated with firing clouds by the careful manipulation of perishable material in the kiln. The purity of form is particularly suited to the uniform cream surface on this example.
