Condition

The left L-shaped arm was a separate construction and the edge has a small lacquer crack. There is another lacquer crack in the middle of the arm consistent with its age. There also are surface crack along both sides (vertically about 3 1/2in each) of the body. There are age lacquer cracks to the right leg, sides of the head vertically behind the ears. There are some lacquer loss but consistent with its age. The very low part of the robe on the back (about 3 x 4in area) is relacquered at one point. There are very slight lacquer surface chips to the tips of the right lower robe (in the middle) and two fingers of the right hand. (the wood is not chipped). Some gilt and lacquer are missing in parts consistent with its age. It probably had a metal head gear, now missing. Stand - The oni figure's left leg is made in a separate piece. (not broken) The two bars of the two corners are missing.
