Description

the cannetille cross-shaped pendant set with circular-, step-cut and pear-shaped emeralds and cushion-shaped diamonds, to a later chain, length approximately 390mm, fitted case

Condition

Largest pear-shaped emerald at the base of cross measures approximately 9.8 x 5.9 x 2.7mm, calculated to weigh 0.65 carats. Some emeralds with very small surface reaching inclusions. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.80-1.00 carats. Measures approximately 63 x 40mm, gross weight approximately 20 grams. Brooch fitting deficient, remains on pin hinge and catch remaining. Fitted case. Chain later (possibly late 19th century). Overall condition good.
