Condition

The sheet is secured to the mount with two adhesive tabs in the upper corners. All four edges are slightly deckled. The sheet undulates very slightly, in keeping with the Artist's working methods and materials. There are some areas of rubbing at the upper edge, in keeping with the Artist's intentions and working methods. There is some very light surface dirt and studio matter. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition, with fresh and vibrant passages of colour. The sheet is floated and held behind glass in a painted frame. Catalogue Note

The present work is recorded with Lanyon Family Archive Number 0219B. This work was a firm family favourite and it hung in Sheila Lanyon's own sitting room in St Ives and later in her house in Newlyn.
