Description
The pendant of openwork design, millegrain-set with rose-cut diamonds, embellished with seed pearls, opening to reveal a pair of rimmed spectacles, to the similarly-set surmount and curb-link chain, mounted in platinum, chain length approximately 510mm and can be detached to two shorter lengths approximately 260mm and 250mm, French import assay marks, early 20th Century.
Condition

If you are interested in this lot, please contact the Jewellery Department before bidding. Lorgnette with French import assay marks and chain stamped Pt850 for platinum. Pearls are of white to cream body colour, good to very good luster, under 10x magnification, there are some natural surface blemishes, a few with minor flaking commensurate with age but all hardly noticeable when worn. Spectacle lenses with some scratches and minor abrasions. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal commensurate with age, a few solder points with very minor tarnish. Overall in very good condition.
