Description

Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 4.01 carats, embellished with half-moon-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold, size 6½.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 101115, dated 26 June 2018, stating that the ruby is of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating; SSEF further stating that the colour of this ruby may also be called 'pigeon blood red'. Also accompanied by a GRS report no. GRS2018-021580, dated 21 February 2018. stating that the ruby is of Burmese (Mogok) origin, with no indication of thermal treatment; GRS further stating that the colour of the ruby is vivid red (GRS type "pigeon's blood"). For further details, please refer to the reports. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white gold. Ruby is medium dark red of strong saturation, under 10x magnification, there are typical inclusions with some surface reaching, some minor abrasions and nicks but not noticeable top the naked eye, and a few chips at the pavilion. Half-moon-shaped diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 0.90 carats in total are about G to H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Brilliant-cut diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of very minor wear to the metal. Overall in very good condition.
