Comprising necklace and a pair of pendent earrings, each of floral design, set with pear-, marquise-shaped and circular-cut coloured sapphires, decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, necklace length approximately 415mm, signed VCA, numbered, French assay mark and partial maker's mark; earrings with post and hinged back fittings, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay and maker's marks; two cases stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.
Condition
Accompanied by a repair note and invoice from Van Cleef & Arpels. Necklace: Stamped OR 750 and French assay mark for 18 karat yellow gold, signed VCA, no. BL234793, with partial French maker's mark. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.00 carat in total, coloured sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 2.80 - 3.20 carats in total, as gauged in the mount. Earrings: Stamped 750 and French assay marks for 18 karat yellow gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, no. BL97743, with French maker's marks. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats in total. coloured sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 3.50 - 4.00 carats in total, as gauged in the mount. All the coloured sapphires are of medium orange, medium light yellow to medium slightly orangy yellow, and light green to light greenish blue colour, light to medium strong saturation, eye-clean and under 10x magnification, there are minor typical inclusions, some nicks and minor abrasions. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of minor wear to the metal, hinged backings and necklace clasp with very minor discolouration. Overall in very good condition.
