Description
Each set with heart-, pear-shaped and circular-cut rubies weighing approximately 6.17 carats in total, embellished with pear- and marquise-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum, signed faidee, post and butterfly fittings.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 87884, dated 20 September 2016, stating that the 10 rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating; SSEF further stating that part of these rubies may also be called 'pigeon blood red'. Also accompanied by GIA report no. 7218427625, dated 29 December 2015, stating that the 2.00 and 2.05 carat heart-shaped rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating; GIA further stating that these stones are described in the trade as "Pigeon's Blood". For further details, please refer to the reports. Stamped on the backing with PT950 for platinum and inscribed faidee and maker's marks for Fai Dee. Pear-shaped and circular-cut rubies weighing approximately 2.12 carats in total. All rubies are medium dark tone, red to slightly purplish red colour, of medium strong to strong saturation, well matched, with typical inclusions and some are surface reaching, under 10x magnification, a few abrasions and nicks and a tiny chip on a small ruby, but all are not noticeable to the naked eye. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 4.00 carats in total, are on average E to F colour, VVS to VS clarity as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of minor wear to the metal. Overall in very good condition.
