Description

Each set with an oval ruby weighing 3.48 and 3.02 carats respectively, within a surround of oval diamonds weighing 8.03 carats in total, mounted in 18 karat white gold, post and hinged back fittings.

Condition

Accompanied by two SSEF reports no. 90638 and 90639, both dated 8 March 2017, stating that the rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. SSEF further stating that the colour of these rubies may also be called 'pigeon blood red' based on their reference standards. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white gold, RU 3.48 and RU 3.02 referring to the weight of rubies, and d 0.16 and d 0.15 referring to the total weight of the brilliant-cut diamonds. Also inscribed D 4.02 and D 4.04. Rubies are of medium dark red colour and strong saturation, under 10x magnification, there are typical inclusions with some surface reaching, a few nicks and tiny chips but not noticeable when worn. Oval diamonds weighing 8.03 carats in total. Brilliant-cut diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of very minor wear to the metal, overall in very good condition.
