Condition
The sculpture appears sound. The surface of the bronze is uneven and pitted in places, in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is light rubbing to protrouding areas of the sculpture, particularly the back and and head of the woman. There are a few minor flecks of oxidisation to the bronze base of the sculpture and to the woman's outstretched arm, with probable more minor instances elsewhere. There is dirt and casting residue to creviced areas. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition. The work is affixed to the Artist's wooden base. The base has a few cracks in line with the base of the wood and a few spots of staining. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
