In-4 (330 x 245 mm), en feuilles, couverture illustrée rempliée, sous chemise et étui d’éditeur illustrés. Minimes rousseurs au verso de la couverture, légers frottements de l’étui, parfois restaurés. Plusieurs manques de papier restaurés (aux coins, marges). Bifeuillet restauré à la jointure des deux feuillets. L’un des plus beaux livres illustrés par De Chirico. Première édition illustrée, 68 lithographies originales de Giorgio De Chirico. Un des 25 exemplaires sur Chine hors commerce (n° XI), signé par l’artiste au crayon, d'un tirage à 131 exemplaires. L'iconographie du surréaliste italien, inspirée autant par les astres et les forces telluriques que par les ruines et le chaos engendré par les conflits, s’allie parfaitement à l’innovation formelle des poèmes d’Apollinaire. Condition
Minimes rousseurs au verso de la couverture, légers frottements de l'étui, parfois restaurés. Coin inférieur restaurés aux p. 115-116, 149-150, 155-156 et p. 251-252. Marge inférieure du bifeuillet 195-198 refaite. La pliure du bifeuillet des p. 82/83-87-88 a été restaurée, avec restaurations marginales.
