In-folio (250 x 408 mm). Maroquin rouge, encadrement à la Du Seuil avec double "L" couronné aux angles, armes de Louis XIV frappées au centre des plats, dos à nerfs orné du même chiffre répété et du titre doré "Veues de maisons royales et de villes", tranches dorées (Reliure de l'époque).Reliure frottée, habiles restaurations aux coins et à la coiffe inférieure. Quelques planches uniformément brunies. Trois planches manquantes (une planche du Louvre par Bérain, l'arc de Triomphe de Louis XIV et Sedan). Beau recueil composé de planches issues des volumes 4 et 14 du Cabinet du Roi, monumental ensemble de gravures réalisé à la gloire de Louis XIV. Il comporte 44 (sur 47) planches gravées par Israël Silvestre, Marotte, Sébastien Leclerc, etc. montées sur onglets. Elles représentent, entre autres, le Louvre et les Tuileries, le Palais-Royal, Vincennes, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Fontainebleau, Blois, Chambord mais aussi quelques vues de villes de Lorraine (dont Metz et Verdun).
