Estimate
10,000 - 15,000 EUR
bidding is closed

Description

  • Pierre Eugène Montezin
  • Les Amandiers - Cap Ferrat
  • Painted circa 1935.

Condition

It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined and is slightly loose. There is a uneven varnish. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of any retouching. There is a vertical stretcher bar mark running across the center of the composition. There are a few small spots of minor paint shrinkage and a few stable lines of craquelure in areas. There are a few dots of dirt ingrained to the varnish notably towards the center of the upper edge. This work is in overall good condition and could benefit from a clean and a re-stretching.
