Condition
Canvas: It has not been possible to see the work out of its frame and glass. The canvas is not lined. There is a milky and uneven varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating which appears to have yellowed in places. However examination under UV light appears to reveal no evidence of retouching. There is some paint shrinkage in areas, notably to the red pigment. This work is in overall good condition. Frame: Painted glass and paper tape. There are paint losses to the glass in places, notably to the green glass, and some paper losses and tears at some points most predominately to the extreme edges. This frame is in overall fairly good condition.
