The canvas is not lined. There is a slightly uneven varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate but there do appear to be two small spots of retouching towards the lower right corner, just outside of the painted black border. There are some scattered miniscule paint losses to parts of the dark brown pigment in the lower left quadrant and some very minimal instances of paint shrinkage to some of the thicker black pigments. There is some minor wear to all four corners and a pin-sized hole to the lower part of the extreme left edge. There are a few minor surface scratches in places. This work is in overall good condition and has a lovely rich and varied texture.
