Condition
The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals small scattered spots of retouching to the cloud in the upper left quadrant and two further spots of retouching in the sky to the centre right of the composition, the larger of which measures 2 by 4cm. There are fly spots to the trees in the sky to the right of the composition, which would benefit from being removed by a restorer. There are fine lines of stable craquelure to the upper part of the sky. This work is in overall good condition.
