Condition
The canvas is strip lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a thick varnish preventing the light from fully penetrating. However, there are fine lines of in-painting to the craquelure within the sky. There is a network of apparently stable craquelure, most apparent in the sky to the upper left of the composition. There are tow vertical stretcher bar marks to the centre of the composition. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
