Condition
This work has been lined, which is nicely stabilizing the paint layer. The original texture of the paint seems to be unaffected. Some restorations have been applied in the blue pigment in the lower left and lower right, presumably because this particular color had developed some instability. These retouches are very slightly mismatched and are rather broadly applied. There is another restoration of this kind in the thin blue line in the upper right and one in the ochre color in the upper left mentioned above. All of these retouches are isolated. The work could be hung as is. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
