Catalogue Note
“When one watches Manzù in his new studio, talking about his plans or analyzing his work, one cannot escape the impression that here is a man who does not suffer at all by being completely dependent on himself. With a calm certainty, based on things already achieved, he dedicates himself to the only task he knows, namely to give form and thus permanence to his perceptions and slowly nurtured intentions.” —John Rewald
