Condition
The canvas has been strip lined. There are fine lines of craquelure, most notably to the blue pigments of the sky and water. The surface is richly textured and the impasto well-preserved. Under UV light, there are strokes of inpainting along the top edge, and along the upper halves of the right and left edges. There are strokes of inpainting throughout the sky, and a pindot stroke of inpainting in the ground to the right of the church. The work is in overall good condition.
