Condition

This work is in very good condition. The canvas has been lightly lined with wax. The colors are bright and fresh and the impasto is well preserved. Some minor, stable craquelure is present, particularly in the yellow pigments at center and the blue pigments at upper right. There are a few minor losses to the lower right corner of the canvas. Under UV light: Approximately three small strokes of inpainting are apparent at lower center around the center of the tree trunk. There are a few areas of pooling varnish which fluoresce under UV light as well.
