Catalogue Note
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Grande Tradition combines incredible artistry and haute horology, all visible on this beautifully crafted guilloché enamel dial. The movement joins an unbelievable number of complications including a minute repeater, flying tourbillon, sky chart, day, month and 24 hour indication. The dial is mesmerizing and built with an acute attention to depth. A flying tourbillon carriage is mounted to a translucent sky chart with a delicate gold sun hand to indicate the day, month and 24 hour indication simultaneous. Raised deftly above the tourbillon carriage, faceted Dauphine hands appear to cut straight through the tourbillon carriage.
A discreet minute repeating complication is made up of oversized springed hammers chiming on gongs which are directly attached to the case back to amplify the sound. The present lot is number 22 out of a limited series of 75.
