The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The case is in very crisp and original condition. There are some minor scuff to the case back and lugs that can be seen with the naked eye, however, the watch is in very good overall condition. The dial is in excellent overall condition. The lumes and hands react well under UV. The lumes have become tarnished throughout. The watch gives a very high reading under Geiger counter. Overall the watch is in excellent condition with all wear consistent with its age. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Considering its age and the environment where it was used the present lot represents a wonderfully complete example of the reference 6152/1. Accompanied by the original diving log and letter this watch is gifted a fascinating context, confirming that Guiseppe Rasenti purchased his Panerai from the brand in 1958 in La Spezia, the historic naval centre of Italy. The watch is extremely well preserved and the dial is very attractive. The lumes have aged very consistently with the hands and give a massive reading on the Geiger counter. The case is also extremely crisp and in very original condition.
