The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The day and date functions are working properly. The case with extremely minor signs of wear, hardly visible with the naked eye. The bracelet and folding clasp with minor signs of surface wear, hardly visible with the naked eye. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Still in production today, the Day-Date was Rolex’s first ever creation to display both the day and date aperture. Officially launched in 1956, the Day-Date was available in a wide variety of cases and dials. From stainless steel to semi-precious metal cases and lacquer to hard-stone dials.
The present watch is fitted with a very attractive mother of pearl dial and further enhanced with matching diamonds and emeralds to the bezel and lugs.
