Catalogue Note

A Lange & Söhne introduced the Langematik Perpetual in 2004 as the world's first automatic watch with a perpetual calendar and over-sized twin aperture date. This watch elegantly displays the firm's desire to continually push technological advancement with each of their pieces.   The revolutionary Sax-O-Mat movement features a zero-reset seconds hand, which creates a more accurate timepiece. While this was initially used only for the seconds hand in previous models, the Langematik Perpetual employs this function by having a main pusher which can control all of the functions, including the calendar and moon phases, at once.

As a testament to the accuracy of this piece, unlike many watches displaying moon-phases, which lose a full day in just 2.5 years, the present lot will take 122.6 years to lose a single day.

Complete with a guarantee, booklet and presentation case, the present watch is offered in an excellent overall condition.
