Condition
Movement: Running at time of cataloguing. Chronograph functioning. Dial: In attractive condition. The top portion has aged with a brown sunburst pattern. The lume at 6 missing. There is a small spot to the right of the signature. Case: In very crisp unpolished condition.

Catalogue Note
The R series Rolex Daytona represents the very last year of production for this reference and manual winding Daytona as a whole. The firm was soon to change the chronograph sports watch market forever with the introduction of the new and revolutionary automatic movement. The present watch has amazing case proportions, original pushers and bracelet. It is also complete with hand written guarantee. The dial features the small Daytona signature and a quite unusual ageing to the top section with brown star bursting rays from the center which fan out towards the top of the dial.
