Catalogue Note
The Rolex reference 1665 Sea-Dweller was launched in 1967. The Sea-Dweller features a helium escape valve which allows helium to easily escape when diving to great depths. Starting in 1971 to 1977, Rolex printed the words “SEA-DWELLER” and “Submariner 2000” in red on two lines on the dial. There are different variations of these dials. The present watch is fitted with a MK 3 dial. The dial itself has been retained in lovely and original condition. The lumes have aged a very nice ivory that is perfectly matching the hands. The case is in attractive condition and the serial number is repeated on the inside of the case back.
