Condition
MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing. The day-date function is working properly. CASE: in very good condition with crisp hallmark on the back and nice brushed finishing to the upper side of the lugs. The milling to the case back is sharp and retains part of the factory sticker. There is some surface wear visible to the naked eye and underneath the lugs there is some surface wear from removing the bracelet. The white gold bracelet is very attractive with very light stretching. DIAL: with attractive red colour and luminous dots having aged consistently, reacting evenly to UV light and fading right after exposure. There are hairlines to the lacquer surface visible to the naked eye. Such hairlines are natural for the age of the watch and Rolex collectors may refer to it as a spider dial. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. You are advised that watch straps or bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator or crocodile) are not sold with the watch and we reserve the right to remove these straps or bands prior to shipping. Furthermore, the watch may not come with its original manufacturers strap or band. Prospective bidders should review the Conditions of Business, Authenticity Guarantee, the Guide for Prospective Buyers, and any Important Notice in the sale catalogue.
