Description

Designed as a daisy, the domed center set with round yellow sapphires opening to reveal a circular dial pavé-set with round diamonds, the petals, lugs and clasp similarly-set, on a detachable black grosgrain strap, quartz movement, length 5¾ to 7 inches, the caseback and strap signed Van Cleef & Arpels, the caseback numbered HH91513 and 1799241, the caseback and clasp with Swiss hallmarks and maker's marks; wearable on a detachable clip-brooch fitting of foliate design with diamond-set bud, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered CAXF027, HH91513, with French and Swiss assay marks and maker's mark. With signed box and pouch.

Condition

In very good condition, with very little sign of wear. Stamped 750 for 18 karat white and yellow gold. The sapphire and diamond watch element numbered 1/3, the strap mounting numbered 2/3, and the brooch mounting numbered 3/3. According to the certificate of authenticity the wristwatch includes: 17 grams of yellow gold, 17 grams of white gold, 4.41 carats of diamonds and 3.10 carats of yellow sapphires; the clip-brooch includes 22 grams of yellow gold, 6 grams of white gold, 0.63 carats of diamonds. The diamonds are approximately E-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The central daisy element may be screwed on and off from the watch strap and clip-brooch fitting, respectively; visit sothebys.com for illustrations of the watch in the clip-brooch fitting. Accompanied by Van Cleef & Arpels booklets which include an International Certificate of Authenticity.
