- 36.2 cm, 14 1/4 in.
the shallow rounded lobed sides rising from a recessed base to a flaring rim, the interior deeply carved through the red layers to the yellow ground with figures in a garden in the foreground and a rocky landscape in the distance, all reserved on a yellow diaper ground and within a lotus scroll band at the well, the exterior with a floral meander reserved on a diaper ground, the base lacquered black

Condition
There is a re-touched crack to the rim (approx. 8.9 cm in length), with some small areas of associated losses, including one to the interior edge of the rim and another beneath it, each measuring approx. 1.6 x 0.3 cm and 1.5 x 0.4 cm, and to the area of the exterior under the rim. There are some nicks to the extremities and shallow cracks throughout, in particular to one area measuring approx. 2 x 0.5 cm of the top of the rim,. Several shallow chips are visible to the re-touched base and footrim, the largest measuring approx. 1.2 x 0.3 cm. The actual colour is more red than the catalogue illustration.
