Description

  • 16 cm, 6 3/8  in.
painted to the interior in rich cobalt-blue tones with a medallion enclosing a maiden and a young boy watching a fish leap from a pond, the exterior with three fish leaping from a band of foaming waves, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze blue

Condition

This dish is in overall good condition, with the exception of two areas to the rim with discolourations, the longer measuring approx. 6.8 cm, possibly restorations. There are some minor surface wear and firing imperfections, including tiny pin pricks and glaze pulls to the base, as well as a few tiny flakes off the footrim.
