Description
- 47.5 cm, 18 1/2 in.
the tapered baluster body rising from a recessed base to a broad rounded shoulder and short tapered neck with galleried rim, densely painted to the body with leafy scrolling lotus blooms, all between elongated lappet borders around the foot and to the rounded shoulder, the base of the neck encircled with a six-character mark in underglaze blue
Condition
The meiping is in very good condition with the exception of a 4cm., glaze hairline to the top of the shoulder, a circa 16cm., glaze hairline running diagonally over the shoulder, minor glaze firing imperfections including blister, burst glaze bubbles, iron-spots and some discolouration to the glaze running around the luting lines at the shoulder and just above the foot, and some minor glaze scratches.
