Description

  • 18.1 cm, 7 1/8  in.
the deep rounded sides rising to a flat everted rim surmounted by a pair of upright loop handles, supported on three gilt-bronze mythical beast legs, the body decorated with stylised cicadas and the base with multi-coloured foliage scrolls, below a band of archaistic geometric motifs and a band of floral scrolls, all against a turquoise-blue ground

Condition

This is in overall good condition, with exception of characteristic pitting throughout and some wear to the gilding. There is an approx. 4.4 cm long area of restoration to the interior extending from the base of one of the handles at the rim. There are also some small patches to the interior, which are possibly manufacturing imperfections.
