Composed of interlocking textured gold links accented with diamond-shaped plaques pavé-set with round diamonds of alternating near colorless and yellow hue, length 34 inches, detachable into four segments for a variety of wear, signed M. Gérard, numbered 2428, with French assay and maker's marks. With signed pouch.
Condition
In good condition, with minor surface scratches to the mounting, and some areas of discoloration predominantly to the diamond-shaped plaques. Three of the four segments signed M. Gérard, numbered 2428, and with French assay and maker's marks; the 7½ inch segment is unsigned/unmarked. The French assay marks are for 18 karat gold. The near colorless diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.65 carats; the diamonds of yellow hue estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.40 carats; the near colorless diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity; the colored diamonds are of moderately strong to strong yellow hue, predominantly VS clarity. The four segment lengths are 13¾ inches, 7½ inches, 6¼ inches and 6¼ inches. Total gross weight approximately 99 dwts. Please note that the diamonds of yellow hue have not been tested for natural origin of color.
