Condition
The canvas has been relined. There is a tiny fleck of paint loss at the bottom edge, near the centre, this is only visible upon close inspection. Some of the impasto has been flattened. There is some very light surface dirt. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals an area of retouching between the cranes at the centre of the upper third of the painting, a small area at the centre of the work and some further tiny flecks elsewhere. There is some retouching to the extreme edges from historic frame abrasion. The work is held within a gilt wooden frame.
