Condition
Overall in very good condition. The plaque is executed with supreme artistry, with finely articulated peacock feather decoration and intense pastel and jewel-tone iridescence. The glass is transparent and appears less opaque with more nuanced coloration when viewed firsthand against a lighter, neutral background. The glass surfaces with scattered minor fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The glass with some scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions, and surface irregularities, inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The underside of the plaque with a curved pulled thread extending from the outer edge towards the center near the pontil mark, inherent in production and not visually distracting. A strikingly beautiful object featuring the peacock motif, one of Tiffany’s most treasured subjects.
