FR : Etat d'usage, cohérent avec l'âge et l'histoire de la pièce. Le bois est couvert d'un épais badigeon plus tardif et présente des rayures, des égratignures, des tâches, des décolorations, des enfoncements et des éclats sur l'ensemble de la surface. Le plateau présente des marques et des traces, principalement localisées sur les côtés. Il y a quelques rayures plus profondes sur le plateau, la plus importante mesurant environ 50 cm. Deux zones présente des soulèvements de placage, la plus grande sure environ 30 cm. Une zone d'environ 30 cm de diamère présente des décolorations au milieu du plateau. Il y a des restaurations et des remplacements de placage aux angles du plateau, le plus grand sur environ 21 x 10 cm. Le plateau est très légèrement incurvé. Les pieds présentent des rayures et égratignure sur l'ensemble de la surface ainsi des éclats et des traces d'humidité principalement localisées en partie haute et en partie basse. Une zone d'environ 15 cm sur un des pieds présente un réseau de rayures plus profondes. Les éléments métalliques présentent de l'oxydation sur l'ensemble de la surface, comme partiellement visible sur l'illustration du catalogue. Les supports métalliques sont légèrement branlants. L'intérieur des abat-jours présente des éclats de peinture. Les panneaux en verre et le système électrique ont été remplacés à une date ultérieure. Sotheby's ne garantit pas le système électrique et recommande de le faire inspecter par un professionnel. //// Fair overall condition, consistent with age, use and the history of the piece. The wood is covered by later a thick finish and presents with scattered scuff marks, scratches, staining/discoloration, dents and chips throughout. Watermarks to the top surface concentrated to both sides. A few deeper scratches to the top, the longest approximately 50 cm. Two areas with some lifting to the veneer, the longest approximately 30 cm. An area fading to the middle part of the top surface approximately 30cm in diameter. The corners of the tops present with replacement of veneer, the largest measuring approximately 21x10cm The top surface presents with a mild curve. The bases of the legs with scattered scuffs and scratches throughout with chips and water stains concentrated to the top and bottom. An area of deeper scratches to one of the legs, approximately 15 cm in length. A few small areas of veneer have been replaced. Oxidation to the metal supports and shades throughout, as partially visible in the catalogue illustration. The metal supports are very slightly wobbly. Paint losses to the interior of both shades. The glass panel and electrical components are later replacements. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
