Condition
Good overall condition consistent with age and use. This chandelier was originally accompanied by a glass shade that is missing. The painted copper presents with scratches and soiling. The paint is worn throughout and presents with small chips, mostly concentrated along the edges. The patinated copper presents with some light surface scratches, some light oxidation throughout with some light oxidation stains and with some instances of pitting scattered. The lower element presents with some instances of light abrasion to the patina. There are a few small instances of vert-de-gris and of rust scattered. All consistent with age and use. Within the canopy, a fixing element is missing hence the canopy is slightly woobly. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
