Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. Embedded fine fibers are scattered throughout, inherent to the work. There is evidence of wear and handling to the edges, with associated pinpoint losses at the extreme turning left edge. Upon close inspection, very minor craquelure is visible in the black passage running vertically in the right-hand section. There are areas of heavy impasto and the impasto peaks appear to be secure and intact. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.

Catalogue Note
“There is so much elimination and destruction in the process—I am happy if you see the works as beautiful and uplifting, but they are tough objects that I have struggled with. It may be a beautiful struggle but I do want you to see the struggle in it.” Amy Sillman
