Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges including hairline craquelure at the pull margins with a few pinpoint spots of resultant loss. There is evidence of stable cracking throughout and scattered areas of circular mottling in the black bands. Under close inspection, there are various lines of discoloration to the center white band. The canvas is relined. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned areas of discoloration in the center white band fluoresce brightly, likely a result of varnish applied to consolidate the cracking and fluoresce darkly in other areas and appear to have benefited from retouching, and the black areas fluoresce in a hazy yellow manner likely due to the varnish application. Framed.
